Sports Medical Center
The Largest Sports Medical Center in Incheon with a floor area of approximately 825㎡. It is equipped with a running track covered with special materials such as hardened urethane and the latest exercise rehabilitation equipment. Specialized exercise rehabilitation therapists provide 1:1 customized rehabilitation exercise for treatments for sports injuries, prevention of recurrences, and quick return to normal daily life activities after surgery.

Total Knee Replacement arthroplasty (TKR: total knee replacement arthroplasty)
Gold artificial joint of Daechan HospitalThe only gold artificial joint researched and developed by Daechan Hospital on the basis of prolonged experiences and know-how in Korea for patients with severe arthritis. It is an artificial joint manufactured with titanium material with a weight that is only 1/3 of the products of other companies. It can be used for a prolonged period of time due to its tin coating to prevent metal ingredients from being worn out easily. In addition, it only has nickel content of 0.01% to minimize metal allergy. It is the only artificial joint capable of rotating through 90º to the left and right through an ergonomic design to enable natural use of the knee.
Recovery period‣ By commencing walking training on the day immediately after the surgery, we enable the patient to walk freely within the hospital on his/her own within a week.

Total Hip Replacement (THR)
Total Hip Replacement is a surgical method applied when there is pain to the extent of making daily life activities impossible due to severe damages to the joint. It is the last surgical treatment that can be resorted to for patient with difficulties in carrying on with normal daily life due to hip joint damages. The artificial hip joint of Daechan Hospital is safe and effective through its anterior access method for low dislocation rate and quick return to normal daily life activities.

Biportal Endoscopic Spine Surgery (BESS)
he spinal endoscopy of Daechan Hospital directly confirms the spinal disorders through 2 small apertures without large incisions for the treatment of the lesion. It is the latest surgical method capable of rendering treatment without having to insert a screw by removing the area of pain with laser after having assessed the accurate cause of the disorder by inserting an endoscope through a small aperture about 5mm in size made at the waist.
‣ Increased accuracy and stability with a two-hand technique unlike the existing surgical technique
‣ Minimize spinal damage with approximately 5mm of minimal incision and minimal muscle damage
‣ Can be applied to patients with spinal disorder for whom various other therapies were not effective.

Recovery period‣ The patient can walk on the day immediately after the surgery and recovery is possible through a short hospitalization period of only 3 nights and 4 days after the commencement of rehabilitation training.

Percutaneous Epidural Neuroplasty (PEN: Percutaneous Epidural Neuroplasty)
Percutaneous Epidural Neuroplasty of Daechan Hospital is a non-surgical therapy to release the compressed nerve and remove tissues or inflammation-inducing substances by injecting special drugs after having found the area of the cause of pain accurately by means of inserting miniature catheter with diameter of 1mm into the epidural space of the spine through the aperture between the vertebrae.
‣ Short surgery time of about 20~30 minutes
‣ Can be conducted with local anesthesia
‣ Allows real-time interpretation of the images and is safe and accurate with the latest equipment
‣ Can be conducted on patient with high blood pressure, diabetes, heart diseases and osteoporosis, and elderly patients
Recovery period‣ Can return to normal daily life activities immediately after the surgery.

Percutaneous Disc Decompression (Nucleoplasty: NP)
It is a simple, quick, and safe outpatient disc decompression therapy with proven outstanding clinical results for disorders manifested when the disc that supports the cervical vertebrae and the spaces between them are ruptured and pushed upward, thereby compressing and stimulating the nerves in the back.
‣ Treat stenosis in the waist and neck in non-surgical method.
‣ Local anesthesia and short period of procedure of about 15 minutes.
‣ Minimization of complications such as infection and scars, etc. since there is no need for skin incision.

Artificial Disc Replacement (ADR)
Artificial cervical disc replacement is a surgical method for removal of the disc or bone fragment that compresses the nerve or narrows the space. It involves confirmation and removal of lesion with microscope and inserting artificial disc into the place of the removed disc. It is possible to walk immediately after the surgery by wearing a neck brace. In addition, it is characterized by the ability of the patient to conduct normal daily life activities without the assistance of nurses while wearing the neck brace.

Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (PLIF)
Surgical method of elevating the sunken disc gap through lumbar interbody fusion and then inserting an artificial disc to enable good osteointegration

‣ Ease of normal curvature and deformation correction of the spine.
